Application for Renewal

The following steps are required for Renewal of your NHCO Certification: 

1) Complete your continuing Education 

The NHCO requires all applicants to complete continuing eduation. Applicants may complete less continuing education hours if they have relevant job experience. The requirements are as follows: 

  • 10 hours of continuing education credits AND proof of work experience (minimum 1040 hours per year) OR:
  • 20 hours of continuing education credits

2) Verify your certificate expiration below. 

After you’ve completed your continuing education, please enter your certificate number and either your last name, email address, phone number, birth date (YYYY-MM-DD) or last 4 of SSN in order to verify your certificate expiration date. You may apply for a renewal 6 months prior to the expiration date.  If you do not have your certificate number, please click use the “Certificate Lookup Tool” below to retrieve it. You must enter your last name and the email address that you used to register when you originally certified. If you have issues please email us at [email protected]

After you have verified your certificate number, you will continue the renewal application.

3)  Pay Renewal Fees.

  • $100 per renewal period of 2 years
  • $25 reinstatement fee if certificate is expired

    After your payment has processed, you will receive an electronic copy of your certificate via email within 2 business days.
